To raise your hand in a meeting or webinar: Prerequisites for using the raise hand feature in a webinar or meeting Note: If you're the host, you can also disable the raise hand feature and manage webinar participants and meeting participants that raise their hands. For example, many webinar hosts use this feature to know if an attendee has a question and would like to be unmuted to speak. As a host, it may be helpful to inform your participants how you would like to use this feature at the start of the meeting or webinar. The download will automatically detect your Operating System and download the correct client for you.The raise hand feature in meetings and webinars allows meeting participants, attendees, panelists, co-hosts, and the host to raise their hands to indicate that they need something from the host, co-host, or other panelists. You will be logged in to the Zoom application.Enter your current UCL password (the one you use for your email), select Sign in.Fill in your UCL username in the format of (eg (eg uczxxxx).You will be taken to the UCL single sign on page in your browser.Enter ucl in the company domain field and continue.Do not use the main email and password boxes to sign in with your UCL account as this will not work. Double-click the ZoomInsatller.exe file to launch the setup. Quick tip: Click the restart the download if the file doesn’t download automatically. Once downloaded, open the app and follow the prompts to finish the process. To install the Zoom app on Windows 10, use these steps: Open Zoom support website. Once you have downloaded the application click on sign in and then SSO. Select ZOOM Cloud Meetings and download it to your phone/tablet.Click on the Zoom app and then click on Install.In the Software Centre use the Search box to find Zoom. ![]() Go to the Search box next to the Start menu and type in Software Centre.Your machine needs to be connected to the UCL network on campus or, if working from home, the VPN connection. You don't need admin rights to your device to do this. You can install the Zoom Client on a UCL managed machine via the Software Centre. ![]() Tip : t he Zoom app will download automatically when you start or join your first meeting, however if you wish to use the app, it is recommended that you download it in advance to ensure you have everything set up prior to your meeting. ![]()
